This is the fifth of a five part blog demonstrating how to create the vision, mission, strategy, and tactics to grow a company.
Tactics: The specific set of actions, techniques or activities to support the strategy. Strategy and tactics are inter-twined, one cannot live without the other.
Many people confuse the tactics with the strategy. If the idea has specific components, people or processes attached to it, then it is a tactic.
The vision workshop identified ten different tactics that supported the strategy which would transform the way engineers work on a daily basis. Some of these tactics included calling into the heads of engineering departments directly, creating online trials of the product, developing marketing campaigns with detailed product specifications, and creating solid value propositions.
