Productivity software vendor Mindjet plans to grow its local channel and raise awareness of the company’s offerings in the Asia Pacific region.

On a recent visit to Auckland, Asia Pacific general manager Cameron Ackbury said he would make several trips to the region in coming months, to talk to potential partners and try to grow the user base. Mindjet has nearly 1000 users locally, and “several” partners, he says.

“I’m seeking as many partners as possible to reach small, medium and larger size organisations,” says Ackbury.

The company’s software is designed to help business professionals visually organise ideas and information and allocate resources to achieve productivity.

Ackbury says it has achieved success among multinationals in the US, as well as in the IT, financial services, manufacturing and pharmaceutical sectors.

“The value for resellers is it is a new revenue stream for them, it can be used with Microsoft applications for achieving productivity gains, such as Sharepoint.”

The vendor offers technical support and training for resellers, and has marketing staff in the US to pass leads to regional partners, says Ackbury.
