Aquion starts reseller recruitment drive for Mindjet

Aquion is seeking new specialist resellers for information mapping software vendor, Mindjet.

The vendor has been in the Australian market for the past 10 years but had not actively sought new licensing revenue.

Aquion, the exclusive distributor for Mindjet, said its information mapping products are being used by business units in big enterprises such as BHP.

“Our goal is to expand the awareness of Mindjet so it goes beyond the business unit area and more to a corporate strategy tool,” Aquion general sales manager, Audrey Lyons, said.

There is now a clear push to ramp up its position in the local market, according to Mindjet General Manager, Cameron Ackbury, who was hired early this year to build out the Asia-Pacific market.

“Most of our revenue is generated from the Australian region so we are investing heavily into marketing programs to build up our licence account in the Australian region,” he said.

Mindjet’s flagship product, MindManager, has been integrated with Microsoft SharePoint for some time and the new version further develops that capability.

“We have a large Microsoft licencing reseller base but we are looking to expand the channel to specialist firms in management and consulting, project management,” Lyons said. “So more your technical reseller that will be talking about how to use the technology with businesses rather than selling it as just a desktop software application.

The distributor is also looking for resellers with a good knowledge on SharePoint integration.

Mindjet will support Aquion by investing in press releases, case studies and whitepapers to promote awareness for the brand.

The vendor can also provide direct assistance to end-users.
