Seeding Software within Universities

I heard a number of Silicon Valley software employees ask, “Does it make sense to strip down our software and give it free to students?”  The student would not only have to upgrade the software upon graduation to get the full functionality but potentially seed it to 1000’s of companies.

  1. If your software’s good, which MindManager is, no need to give it away for “free.” You could provide special education pricing for students for a win-win-win.
